All in all, this was a nice Mother's Day even though I'm still recovering from the Annoying Two Week Cold. While I slept in, Nicolai made up enough chicken soup for an army, and I ate some when I got up. Ymmmm... Then Victoria came by to share in the soup, and hang out with me which was fun. She also borrowed my old Star Fleet uniform (which actually fits her amazingly enough; and equally amazingly enough despite being 30 odd years old and composed of an unknown polyester doubleknit is still wearable) for an upcoming con - apparently the newly released Star Trek movie brought out her inner geek... We wandered about the internet for awhile, and decided that this critter (from the Worth1000 Cryptozoo 9 contest) must be a juvenile Grandfather Bird from Terry Pratchett's Nation. :)
